Canadian Ammonite 6(1097)

6(1097) Placenticeras costatum. Ammonite measurement approx. 36 cm (14 ¼”) across. Matrix shale measurement approx. 95 cm across X 66 cm tall (37 ½” X 26”). This ammonite has very beautiful reds, oranges, yellows and a lot of greens with a touch of the rare blues. This ammonite has great shape and beautifully distinct features only found in these fossils.  This ammonite comes from the bottom of the Bearpaw formation in the Korite mine.  Only in one small area of North America does one find this brilliant gemstone. Over millions of years, the nacre of the ammonite’s shell has been transformed to take on this wild range of iridescent colouring.  It comes with a wood display stand and a certificate of authenticity. For international shipping, all customs paperwork is included. This specimen is registered with the Government of Canada and leaves the country with all the required permits and documentation.
