Canadian Ammonite 4(1214)
Placenticeras meeki. Measures just over 12” in diameter. It is a nice plump ammonite with very good shape. It displays reds, oranges, golds and greens with quite a bit of the rare blues and purples on both sides of this ammonite. There are areas of very bright colours on both sides of this specimen. This ammonite comes from the middle of the Bearpaw formation close to the Korite mine. Over millions of years, the nacre of the ammonite’s shell has been transformed to take on this wild range of iridescent colouring. It comes with a wood display stand and a certificate of authenticity. For international shipping, all customs paperwork is included. This specimen is registered with the Government of Canada and leaves the country with all the required permits and documentation.
