Canadian Ammonite 20(1105)

Placenticeras intercalare. Measures approximately 8” in diameter in a natural rock matrix that measures approximately 23” X 14”. Excellent shape to this nice, bright ammonite. It displays reds, oranges, golds, greens and even some of the rare blues. As the rock is not too large, this specimen can be displayed on a stand or hung on the wall. It has everything needed for both. This ammonite comes from the bottom of the Bearpaw formation at the Korite mine. These are the layers where the best ammolite gemstones are found. Only in one small area of North America does one find this brilliant gemstone. Over millions of years, the nacre of the ammonite’s shell has been transformed to take on this wild range of iridescent colouring. It comes with a display stand as well as all hanging hardware, brackets and anchors and a certificate of authenticity. For international shipping, all customs paperwork is included. This specimen is registered with the Government of Canada and leaves the country with all the required permits and documentation.
