Canadian Ammonite 11(1221)

Placenticeras costatum  Measures approximately 13 ¼” in diameter in a natural rock matrix that measures approximately 25” X 21 ½”.  Excellent shape to this nice, bright ammonite.  It displays lots of the rare blues with reds, oranges, golds and greens.  The rock matrix has a nice sculptural look and feel to it.  This ammonite comes from the bottom of the Bearpaw formation at the Korite mine.  These are the layers where the best ammolite gemstones are found.  Only in one small area of North America does one find this brilliant gemstone. Over millions of years, the nacre of the ammonite’s shell has been transformed to take on this wild range of iridescent colouring.   It comes with all hanging hardware, brackets and anchors and a certificate of authenticity. For international shipping, all customs paperwork is included. This specimen is registered with the Government of Canada and leaves the country with all the required permits and documentation.
